I got my Pfizer booster about a month ago. I did not officially qualify but I stopped by the vax center. I told them the truth: I am being treated for an autoimmune disease (I have arthritis and sometimes take aspirin). They were happy to give me the booster as the vax center was all but empty.
I had the same reactions with all three of the vaccinations. My arm was a bit stiff and sore for a few days. In addition about an hour after each vax, I could feel a bit of flushing and some tiredness. I had low grade, flu like tiredness for a few days but was still able to function more or less normally.
My wife had stronger reactions to the Moderna and felt sick for a couple of weeks after each injection. She got her Moderna booster 2 days ago and so far seems to be doing well and has been doing her hour a day exercise routine.
I highly recommend getting the booster. Any reaction you get is going to be way, way milder than even the mildest case of Covid.
I thought the Moderna booster was still awaiting approval?
Got my Pfizer booster shot yesterday. Shoulder is a little sore, but that has been it, feel great otherwise. If I didn't have a sore shoulder, I would be wondering if they actually gave me the shot. Guess I have been lucky.
We got ours, since our original vaccination was Jan/ Feb.
It bothered me less than the second shot (just the sore arm for a couple of days). But after the third shot, DH said that though he usually isn't a complainer (I don't necessarily agree) he felt like a truck had hit him. Just ridiculously achy all over.
The day after the CDC and the FDA approved back in August the third shot for autoimmune compromised and infusion receivers we got our third Moderna shot. No real issues . A little soreness in arm for a day. Glad we got it. No regrets !
My spouse was scheduled for back surgery this Friday - and I was bound and determined to get him the booster and a flu shot so that he didn’t go in hospital defenseless.
September 20 was the first day it was available here and we lucked out as our local CVS had appointments listed that very day.
Spouse had very little reaction to both shots - I was miserable. I had done my hour workout at the gym a couple hours prior to the booster - and next day every muscle in my body was cramping.
Probably had a fever but I was too wiped out to take my temp.
Irony of all of this - spouse’s surgery was canceled as he needed a root canal that will be done today. No surgery if there’s an infection and he’s been on antibiotics.
