I had my booster this weekend. I'm working my way through the lethargy. The pharmacy stopped its walk-in shots and reverted to appointments. Apparently there's more interest in boosters right before holiday gatherings.
Well, it's been nearly two months since my booster shot and all I can tell you is that I have had zero long term side effects so far. Zero. I felt a little feverish (low grade fever under 100 degrees) off and on for about 48 hours after the shot. That was it - and was expected. Well worth it to me.
The long term effects of getting COVID are far likely to be worse than the long term effects of the vaccine. I had side effects from the Pfizer booster and I had bad side effects from the Shringrix vaccine (both sort lived), but I'll take those any day over the actual diseases. Some people may get off easily with just a moderate sickness, but there's no way to know if you are going to be one of the lucky ones who gets off easy or if you get long COVID or get hospitalized or worse case you die.
Friends! The topic of this thread is "Did you get the Pfizer booster and how was it?" NOT a general discussion/argument on Covid and/or vaccines. I just deleted 75 off topic posts. If I have to come back to this, the thread may be closed, and I don't want to do that.
There are plenty of threads elsewhere in City-Data to argue about vaccines.
I has the first two Pfizer shots and the booster about 90 days afterward.
No effects from the booster other than a bit of a sore arm for the afternoon. (I had more of a reaction with the 2nd shot....felt a bit like I was coming down with a cold but just for a day).
