I also had a crush on Lindsay Wagner. She always looked like “the girl next door” type to me, which always attracted me.
Years later, in my sophomore year in college, I would meet and date a girl who resembled her. She would be my girlfriend for the next two years. Our life priorities after college were very different, so she broke it off with me. She wanted to settle down and start a family, I was too young and immature at the time to even think about settling down. (It’s true that girls mature faster than boys do.) I still regret it to this day.
We’re both married now, and she’s living in Dallas, Texas now.

I love this! Loved Hayley Mills and The Parent Trap. Wore out my record on the record player. Later got a huge crush on Peter McEnery, the male lead in The Moonspinners.
I streamed Parent Trap not too long ago. Felt a little like a pervert watching Haley and not Maureen, although Maureen wasn't a slouch.
I didn't have a crush on him but I thought Edd Byrnes was super cool: "Cookie, Cookie, Lend Me Your Comb." (What's the deal with his Wikipedia photo? Looks nothing like the sex symbol of the early 60's.) OK my memory didn't serve, that was Efrem Zimbalist Jr.
