Singer, John Davidson...He had great hair, a beautiful smile and he could sing! No teenage heart throbs for me. I always did like a more mature man

Whatever happened to him? It seemed like for a while, he was everywhere, TV shows, his recording played frequently on the radio, and then rather suddenly, he disappeared. Is he still alive?

OK, I had two older sisters. In the fifties there was a TV show which featured Liberace and the big moment at the end of the program was when he would wink at the TV audience in a closeup. Each of my sisters would try to push the other out the way so it would be just her that Liberace was winking at.

Little did they know ...

I like older men. I was crazy about Michael Landon.
Robert Wagner
Lee Majors
Okay, so I was fickle, too.

It's kind of amazing how an obviously gay guy like Liberace was so popular in the conservative America of the 1950s.

Right?

In the late 60s while just out of high school among my friends it was rumored that Rock Hudson was (likely) gay. I think it just came up while discussing favorite movies, where that info originated I have no idea, I barely understood what that meant then. That people were surprised 20 years later surprised me.

Along with Diana Rigg & Gilligan's Maryanne I remember being smitten earlier as a prepubescent by a character called "Cricket"... was that on Hawaiian Eye?
