I tried it once but it didn’t work, it’s not odd, people do stranger things when they are dieting. How about pouring coffee grounds on your brownie that you threw in the trash so you can’t eat it? Is that odd? People do that all the time.

So many people trying to diagnose me as being mentally unstable.

I read years ago that if you are trying to break a habit wear a rubber band around your wrist and snap it hard so it hurts to stop a undesirable behavior. I have used it so it worked for me.

organic_donna, just look at the people of Walmart if you think you're strange talking to yourself. Feel better yet?

Yes. And more importantly those who have spent time "alone" at times, on & off, all their lives, and have found ways to deal with that.

Speech and hearing are basic human "senses" (or behaviors) that are somehow important to all humans.

The flip side of the coin:

Ever know somebody who'd croak in a minute if they weren't constantly surrounded by a bunch of people? I have.

It takes 21 days to break a habit.

But no surprises....

I know I'd retrieve that brownie and rinse off the coffee grounds.
