Giving it more though and answering my own question. These entities don't care who pays the bills as long as somebody does. If there would be a problem, which apparently there won't, all she'd have to do is use her own credit card
Ah, good job. Then you don't have anything to worry about.
I dont think thats entirely true, but the OP is making us drag answers out of her, so I guess s/hes all set. I do agree, however, that the utilities don't care where the money comes from, as long as they get a check/online payment.
If the house and banks accounts were in a trust and passed to the daughter as trustee, presumably you could/would put utilities in name of the trust as well, and continue paying. (hence the probate question).

Exactly, but it doesn't sound as if she'll have to deal with that. My mother died in March of 2020. No courts open to submit a will and get the Letters Testamentary to show that my sister and I were executors. No access to her bank accounts or ability to set up an estate account until we were able to work with a lawyer who developed a workaround with the county courts that July. We put the funeral on our credit cards and paid the house bills ourselves and then reimbursed ourselves later.
Try not to die during a pandemic. It's so inconvenient for your heirs.
When I went thru this with my father the attorney directed me to send the official death certificate’s to any place where $ was owed. I did that and didn’t hear a word from anyone. Your state may vary so just ask your elder law attorney.

Quite untrue. My original question was quite well and quickly answered by ChristineVA .
The thread could have ended right there
You're the one that started bringing up needless issues.
