Back, all they learned to others. Their knowledge, joy,.....

Dixieland band, my Pop played (trumpet/cornet) at the senior center, volunteered.to.give.rides.to others to medical appointments. Pop was a.professional musician before WWII, led the band in Army Air Corp while stationed state side. After the war worked as a.salesman, working gigs on weekends. Gave up his horn,10 years later, got his lip back up to play at my wedding reception, then in retirement at the senior center.

Mom volunteered almost 30 years for the American Lung Association.

Good people, middle.income? Seldom discussed finances; Very rich in friends that they made from all walks of life, neighbors, war buddies, fellow musicians, store clerks, people they met on their travels.

This isn't a brag Thread, they faced challenges, as we all have. For.me, their legacy, joy in giving to others. And yes, came to accept God's gift of His Son age late 30's.

Purpose of Thread, My parents enjoyed themselves And enjoyed, bless to serve others.

Prompted by What is My Purpose Thread; Net Worth. For me, funds are important, the value of friendship far exceeds what money can buy. Especially knowing my husband only lived to 65. Sharing life with others, joys, sorrows, helping one another, on this journey is what I value most of all. Bless most of all, my God, Savior is with me.

I totally agree that people are much more important than money. Both my parents set a good example of helping others and I continued that during my life. I’m lucky to have wonderful kids and friends for which I’m grateful.,
