This is Very True! I have already taken care of this for our child if the situation arises. Even though both my husband and I say we would NEVER get married again if something happened to one of us, I know how the old women in this town are! It's a running joke in the retired crowd around here that the minute a woman dies, the old gray** women come out of the woodwork to snatch onto any man with a little money. No woman and her children are getting a thing that my husband and I built up together. It's all going to our daughter. I hired a very good lawyer!

My MIL passed away in 2004. A woman down the street was going to nursing school. She was also 40 years younger than my FIL. When my MIL was not responsive, my FIL went next door and got his neighbors. The neighbors then called this woman, supposedly b/c of her nursing knowledge(:

So, here's this woman in my FIL's home for 2 hours (we were on our way) and she's going through his stuff. Yep, that's right. All of a sudden, she's his new love (choke and gag). She would run the other way when my husband and I came around. His own sister was so upset over this that she comes and stays there with him. He was married 53 years and what a way to honor the memory of his late wife.

My MIL always gave my husband (and me) copies of the wills when they went on any trip. She would be turning over. She wants anything to go to her only child, my husband, and she was firm on that. My husband has been a wonderful, doting, caring son to his parents and especially to his mom when she had Alzheimers (we both helped and loved her dearly).

Now, if he met some nice woman that he had common interests with, that's one thing but this was not the case here. (We know he gave her money b/c her home was in foreclosure but that's all).

I don't normally respond to these but here's a link:

Prescott Bush - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

" Rumors about the alleged Nazi 'ties' of the late Prescott Bush ... have circulated widely through the internet in recent years. These charges are untenable and politically motivated. Despite some early financial dealings between Prescott Bush and a Nazi industrialist named Fritz Thyssen (who was arrested by the Nazi regime in 1938 and imprisoned during the war), Prescott Bush was neither a Nazi nor a Nazi sympathizer. A couple of other things to consider. You chose wisely and trust your spouse.

From the grave you won't care.

Good point. People need to be aware of that.
BTW, if the marriage is long and really good, then if one of the spouses dies, the surviving spouse may want to consider not to remarry again. Just to honor the deceased spouse. I know, this sounds like too much to some, but I think, that's what I would do, should my spouse go first.

I think anyone who wants to remarry or have any type of relationship is entitled to it, a loving spouse is something anyone would seek out.
I just wanted to remind everyone to dot I's and cross T's.
Give them something to remember you by. God Bless.

Without inheritence we have given society our children. Anyone who would rather give to society than their own is beyond me. I'd rather die sooner than give it all to the Medical Insurance Parasites

Prescott Bush was the Banker for Thyssen Krupp when Hitler finished first in the 1933 elections. Hitler was first but did not have a majority. Bush, acting for Thyssen Krupp and the representatives of the German Army met with Hitler and arrainged for several small right wing parties they controlled to swing their votes to him in return for 1. Disbanding the SA and 2. Purging the Nazi Party of Socialists. So, while Bush was not a Nazi, Hitler might not ever have come to power without him.

I guess the Bush family managed to make a worse mess in Germany than they did here

But then we know that Joseph Kennedy was and FDR recalled him.
