It seems kind of like this to me.
"How sharper than a serpent's tooth it is
To have a thankless child. Away! Away!"
by Shakspeare

I'm just happy my kids are not like that.

Only when certain types of threads get NO responses, do they eventually cease.

Looks like the boomer threads get plenty of posts (more than most others) so one would conclude they draw interest

Sounds like the boomer bashers are a lot younger than most people on this forum.

Which is the point of my OP. This is SUPPOSED to be a forum where retirees (or those interested in retiring like us) can find information and trade stories. When the top three to five threads are by Boomer Bashers the intent of the forum is lost.

It's time to get this forum back to where it belongs.

Which, as your rep score indicates, is greatly appreciated by many, including me. Thank you.

I'm happy to see this thread. I was thinking the exact same thing about a week ago. This was originally supposed to be a place for people who were in their 50s and beyond to be discussing things about retirement, SS, where they're relocating to, situations with their children, etc. Also for younger people who needed to find out things concerning their parents benies, medicare, etc. I've been very surprised at how unpleasant it's become here. Depressing!!! I'm not the mod in this section so I don't interfere.

My suggestion is that we just all ignore someone who starts a thread that is only started to cause trouble and hurt feelings. If someone doesn't like our fabulous generation, it's their problem. Since it appears that they will continue to be here uninterrupted, we just need to stop replying to them. Let the little tots sit in their little corner and play with their toys alone. We've got better things to do.
