Matunuk Beach/South Kingstown Town Beach (Narragansett: mobile home, living in, safe)

Hi, Do the local people who live in South Kingstown use the Matunuck Beach/South Kingstown town beach - i.e. moms and kids during the week for example? We noticed some bars and run down mobile homes near there, not sure from the locals' perspective what they think of this beach. It is nice to have a town beach of course but wanted opinions on it.

Matunuck beach and SK Town beach are mostly know to be safe private family beaches. Don't worry about mobile homes, just mostly regular folks, and the small local bars nearby, in my many years of living in RI this is a mostly laid back area where people come to just chill out, and appreciate the beauty of the area.
This is just my opinion of the area.

Never had a problem at any beach, those are particularly nice. Family friendly and good waves...

Also try Sand Hill Cove for family beach (fairly calm, not big waves); also Narragansett Town Beach is very nice too. Matunuck and East Matunuck is very nice, more surf if that's what you like. Misquamicut Beach has more surf but can have an undertow at times.

I really miss the beaches ! waaaaahhhhh.

And the seafood, and the pizza. waaaaaahhhh.
