Does anyone have any information regarding the marina business in and around Rhode Island? I know there are many marinas throughout the state, a few questions:
Do you know anyone who works at a marina in Rhode Island?
What would an extremely experienced Forklift/Travellift operator expect to make per hour in Rhode Island/southeast New England?
Has anyone worked for (or know someone who works/worked) for Brewer Yacht Yards?
Does anyone store thier boat at a local Rhode Island marina?
The marine industry in RI is pretty big considering the size of the state. New England Boatworks (NEB) is a large bunch of different companies in Portsmouth, RI. Periodically, the industry holds job training fairs to get more locals jobs in the field, and wouldn't you know there was an article in the paper last winter about how few people took advantage of it, given the many jobless around here. Quonset Point on the other side of the bay is also a large marine and industrial area. I would definitley contact the RI Dept of Labor and Training for information.
