Does anyone know what pollinated over the past week or two leaving a coating of yellow dusty pollen on everything? It's all over the cars, sidewalks, etc. ....

I believe it's pine tree pollen, it's everywhere you have pine trees.
In the city it's less than in the rural areas.

That's it...Pine Pollen. I used to work in a building overlooking a pine forest....some days you could see the pollen rising over the woods like smoke.....Mother Nature over produces to ensure that the species survives.

My wife and daughters have been spending the last few summers back home in RI and this year she noticed right away the amount of pollen on the cars, windowsills and on the screens. Definitely more than the last four summers spent in RI. Just a little inconvenience as they love their time spent back home

Thanks for the replies. I'm on the East Side though- not loads of pine around here- but lots of trees, especially ornamental. Could it be oak?

It's the locust trees in my yard.

It's all over my window sills, car, lawn furniture, etc.

Plantain is in bloom now. Terrible for allergies. Someone told me about drinking Nettle tea for allergies; seems to work a bit. It probably is those locust trees though, they are so prolific.
