Does anyone know of any place to camp (tent) that's accessible by boat? It doesn't have to be an actual campground (in fact, I'd prefer it wasn't), "wilderness" sites could work. I'm specifically looking for something in the Mt. Hope Bay or Narragansett Bay areas as I keep my boat moored in the Taunton River. Any small beaches, wooded areas, etc? Agai, doesn't necessary have to be a formal campground. If there's any area where I can legally (or maybe not so legal, but everyone does it anyway) travel to by boat, set up a tent and camp with some friends. Low key.
I'm not confident I'll find anything, but I appreciate any help! Thanks.

Yes, I saw that too, but I think they might know where you could go to dock a boat and camp. Let us know!

Potter's Cove is a nice quiet place to anchor the boat overnight
and you can camp there. It's the little mini-bay within the South side
of Prudence Island and is protected from wind, very easy to anchor.
Also, Dutch Island can make an interesting
place, it's just south of the Jamestown Bridge. The kids can play in
the old WWII turrets. It's big enough but I wouldn't go there unless
the weather is still. You don't want to be anchored there in windy weather.
Most people only go there for a half a day. Anchor on the South/Jamestown Bridge
side, not to the exposed North side.
Then there's Goddard Park, head in to where you see the main beach but
then move down away from it to the left. there are paths in there if you walk in
up the hill and you can be private most of the time but also be close to civilization.
and the shore is nice. More people around than in the other two places.
Finally, Rocky Point trails but also not protected from wind and can be a tough
place to anchor. I am unsure on the status of a dock there. Tip of Warwick Neck.
Don't try it at night - if you are coming in at night I would only consider
Potter's or Goddard.

Thanks Holly and Snowball, I'll give RI Parks a call and look into the other three suggestions. I've heard of Dutch Island but for some reason I thought it was closer to the Mt. Hope Bridge. This is why it's good to double check!
Do you by any chance, know about Gould Island off of Tiverton? I'm assuming it's private and I shouldn't go there, but I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about it? Same goes for Hog Island (Bristol). That one has some seasonal homes, but it appears a large chunk is uninhabited. Thanks again!

neither of those are any good to anchor at. Gould is US Navy/Wildlife Sanctuary, Hog has some
summer homes and is private. The other places I mentioned are a lot better.

I would think Prudence would be your best bet. Certainly better than Dutch.
