Will be taking a long weekend in Middletown this weekend (Aug. 16-20) and will visit Providence and Newport. Can anyone suggest a good flea market anywhere near these three towns?

Also, is there a weekly drum ring somewhere in RI? Years ago I remember walking around a quaint city where a drum ring was playing.

TIA

IMO, the two best flea markets in the RI area are the Seekonk Speedway flea market and the General Stanton Inn flea market. There are others, but these are may favorites for picking antiques and collectibles for resale on eBay.

This is funny, looking to join a drum circle as a tourist activity. There are drum circle gatherings around, try meetup.com or places like All that Matters, etc. I have a feeling that around here drum circles are more a fall and winter activity. Maybe there will be a Waterfire event in Providence, if you can try go to that, I'm sure you would love it, it's very primeval in an urban, Italian sort of way.
