No, I simply reject mainstream "culture" for what it is: bankrupt, immoral, vapid and at odds with my philosophical beliefs. Television is the Great Satan of our society. I have to interact with contemporary culture, but that doesn't mean I need embrace or endorse it. And I know lots of folks who, like me, don't own a television; they experience culture at cultural events and by contributing positively to a greater, more refined cultural/social level.
