Yes, I am all for revitalization. But how will the RI government ensure that it does not become a crime infested public housing complex? There are plenty of examples here around Boston, and I always get worried when a place is refer to as "affordable housing".
It looks like they're spread out over Hanover, Bellevue, Waverly, Althea and Cranston, so...probably a relatively low risk of becoming a public housing project. More like good affordable housing created through rehabs, new builds and (unfortunately) some demolitions, though I don't know what state the demolished houses were in.

There were an awful lot of badly burned out buildings (as well as boarded up buildings) on those streets. This can only be an improvement. I guess they didn't get that big one on the corner of Union and Linwood though, unfortunately. Or maybe someone's finally purchased it since the last time I went by there?
