These are all good suggestions, to which I would add a day at Mystic Aquarium and Seaport, and maybe a Friday night at the Frosty Drew Observatory in Charlestown:
Try a leisurely family drive up scenic RT 102 from Exeter up through Smithfield. Not sure where it ends, but it's lovely, especially on a sunny summer day, or even better, on a crisp fall day to see the spectacular foliage. You'll see some apple orchards, and you can include apple picking in your plans in the fall. You even go past the state reservoir.
Edaville Railroad
Edaville USA is a fun family amusement park in Carver, Massachusetts.
I concur. Especially at Christmas time. The Christmas lights are pretty from the train. And most especially if you have very young children with you. It is magical for them at Christmas, but nice for adults too. It's also a lovely place to visit in the summer.
Speaking of Christmas, LaSallette Shrine in Attleboro has millions of Christmas lights from November - January. Gorgeous. It is religiously themed there.
There is a nice zoo in North Attleboro called Capron Park zoo. That's a nice little zoo. Last time I went there, there were lions.
Thank you everyone! We cant wait to get there and try these suggestions!
