I have been thoroughly enjoying Rhode Island tomatoes and native corn -- perfect! Thank you, Rhode Island farmers! Where in Rhody are crops grown -- I've seen no plantings in Burnside Park? And apart from tomatoes, corn and potatoes, what other summer crops are grown here? BTW, the best tomatoes I've had are from ESM. Any other good places to buy from?
Take the Hope Tunnel bus down to Lippitt Park (opposite direction of downtown) on Saturday morning to the farmer's market- I think that's the closest to you.
In the winter, the market goes into Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket.

Oh! I tried that once -- I'm so bad with directions I landed up in Woonsocket and all they wanted to sell was Oxycodone! Yes, the map says that's close and it's on my second favorite bus line, the Mighty #1 (I could never love a bus more than the UltraLiner, the #92, from whence I do my Eye-Talian shopping on FH and double-back to CH and on, on, on to ESM). I did have a bad experience at ESM -- some old perv tried to squeeze my melons! Thanks, Holly!
Used to get good peaches in RI, in addition to all the typical NE crops like zucchini, kale and cukes. There are small farms all over the state, especially on Aquidneck Island and parts of S County.

I just looked up the #1. When I used to use it to go to work downtown I believe it was #42. Didn't know that "the Hope Tunnel" (which is what we used to call it) now goes all the way to the Attleboro train station! Cool.
The 1, 42, and 77 have been a single interlined route for a long time; it was just when the south end was extended from Ann & Hope to the airport and the north end extended (actually, every other trip rerouted) to South Attleboro that the whole thing was rebranded the 1.
