Not exactly stellar, but well above average, and not in the dire straits that some have characterized.

Do you agree with FL's #6 ranking?

That's what I'm thinking. I mean, these are states where it's legal to marry your sister, for crying aloud.

Well we happen to be lucky in our location as far as schools go.......but Jacksonville as a whole (Duval County) is rated pretty low. I grew up in the Warwick school system and would love it for my daughters to have the same experience but will settle for what we have, which is pretty good............and yes it is big cultural difference living here

No way in hell my kids will ever be educated outside of the northeast. Not even the slightest chance.

Sometimes you have to move for your job...........if we were not living where we live now we would be back in New England......sometimes the trade offs are tough, luckily we are in a pretty diverse area with a lot of transplants. I would like for them to return to RI for college and to be around family and friends........but there is many years to go before that happens. Right now we are dealing with their disappointment that we are not spending Christmas in RI.....the first since they were born

Yeah I'm very happy to have grown up in the northeast (NYC specifically). People down here in Atlanta throw on the jackets if the temp falls under 60 lol. Back home I'd still be on the basketball court with shorts and a T.

The snow during Christmas is awesome too, especially growing up.

Hopefully you'll end up in RI again somehow as it seems that's where you wanna be. At the very least, hopefully you can visit more often

They did have Massachusetts on there. However, at least this gets conservatives to admit there's no way Republican run states have better education systems.

That's no true at all. You were educated in CT and you were taught crap like that, it's no wonder CT ranks so low on that list.
