Hey guys,
I posted here before, but I wanted to double check. I'm renting out an apartment on eastside providence in Carrington avenue. I am assuming this is technically considered a part of Mt. Hope area, which I am seeing some very mixed reviews about. Some of the people who live here told me seem to say it's an area to avoid? It also doesn't help that I just saw on the news from earlier this month that there was a stabbing on that very street (at 2AM). But otherwise, I have heard that there are many college students in this particular area and it shouldn't be too bad and the areas to avoid are mostly northern/western of this particular street. The place I will have to go to requires me to take a bus at Hope/Onley. This is at the border of Mt. Hope/College Hill, which I hope to see many university students in the area to at least feel safe. If anybody is familiar with this street or this general area, please let me know and what areas to avoid when walking/taking a bus

I am very familiar with Carrington Avenue and you should be fine, safety wise. That stabbing is very rare. There is the occasion theft or B&E but nothing to be concerned about as long as you are aware of your surroundings.

The street has many multiple tenements which make it popular for college students. The street is barely 150 yards long. Ride around the neighborhood and you will see many young people walking. Unless you like to walk between 10 pm and 4 am I would not worry about the street.
