Nobody for Classical music at the VETS? Also, have heard there is decent chamber music about town, but haven't experienced it myself.

Another option: How about...Performing Arts! Trinity Repertory Theater. Gamm Theater. Stuff showing up at PPAC.

My wintertime activity right now? Dreaming about going outside for more than 15 minutes at a time, and not lifting a snow shovel! I can't imagine being in Boston this year. They got hit much worse than us!

Wow, I was just telling someone how 9-10 months out of the year it is great here -- we have one month of snow and now it is doom and gloom and nothing goes on in RI?
Get some snowshoes and go for a hike, go to a rock climbing place and get ready for the summer, go to the RISD art museum, go snow tubing at Yawgoo - the hill is too flat for skiing, but snow tubing there is a blast!
Whatever you decide, remember, it is only for a month or two - then get your muk luks ready to get outside this spring when everything blooms again!

Rock climbing is a good, new suggestion. Where?

As for the "doom and gloom": this year seems to be a bit of an outlier, being colder and snowier than normal. My previous post was motivated by a need to warm up my frozen fingers after shoveling my sidewalk for the umpteenth time.
