And the sun is sill visible! I guess that's good news. I really want at least one great storm, something to remember. Otherwise I fear my mother's labor pains will have been in vain.

But Spring is inevitable.

Red Sox. Makes Spring, Summer and (fingers crossed) Fall tolerable. Can't wait for baseball season.

Any Sox fans here?

You do know that there's a good chance that spring training will be well underway by the time that happens? At this rate, the regular season may have started by then! But I like your wishful thinking.

Ok, I'll bite. I usually go to a game or two each year. I have tickets now for a game in July and will probably go to one other. Back when I lived up there, I went to Fenway much more often.

I will admit, I am a Red Sox fan, although you may call me "fair weather". I was fortunate enough to work for a major sponsor, so sat in the WEEI box seats for every playoff and world series games in 2004. If THAT won't make you a fan, nothin' will. Although born and raised a Dodgers fan, I will never bring myself to root against the Red Sox (especially if they're playing the Evil Empire)

Got a better story.

Scene: 72nd and Columbus

Two suits (which was pretty odd, given it was the UWS) were waiting for the light to change. Sox were down 3-0 in the 2004 series. They were chuckling about how the Yanks were going to win that night, and I thought "maybe not." Damned Sox got it together and took it home to BOS, and I was thrilled.

The 2013 season was without any doubt the best Summer/Fall of my life. I don't own a tee-vee and never have, so I go to the Eagle or Coal Fired Pizza to watch the games. When Ortiz smacked the dugout phone, I went crazy. And when they got past Detroit etc and won, I was in Nirvana. C'mon, Sox!

No it's nice and sunny down in Ft. Myers! I'm only half a days drive from there now, certainly hope to plan a weekend next month.
