^ I take that back. Of course one reads the word, often. But it's always tied to "moral," as in "moral rectitude." When someone spouts off the term "moral" and ties it to "rectitude," I flee. Not for lack of morals, but because I just know a hypocritical, North Carolina type Bible-Thumping experience is on the horizon. As a stand alone word it is quite lovely.

Actually, that seems to narrow the scope of this board from its stated purpose. The official title of the forum is:
Rhode Island Forum - Relocation, Moving, General and Local City Discussions
I think discussions about Rhode Islander Lincoln Chafee's political aspirations are relevant to general discussions of Rhode Island, and within bounds of this board.
You think counting to 5,280 or 16, 32, 64 is easier than counting to ten? The metric system makes so much more sense and if we want our students to do better in the sciences, why are we handicapping them by teaching them the wrong "language" f tom the start?
There are serious pressing issues in this country that any intelligent & worthy candidate, regardless of party affiliation, should be addressing. He IS the butt of the jokes on every news station; as well as late night television commentators; the NY Post, Washington Times, NY Times, you name it he is making headlines at least. As a buffoon !

Were I you, and I am so glad I am not, I'd be prudent in using the word "buffoon."
LOL! NY Post (Murdoch). The Washington Times (owned by the late Reverend Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church).

It's a badge of honor to be the butt of a Fox News joke. TV news isn't serious news. It's infotainment. In the case of Fox News, its mis-infotainment.
I am glad Chafee has the courage to insert these issues into the national conversation.
Ever heard of "The Peter Principle" ? Lincoln Chafee has reached that pinnacle. Incompetence personified.
