I'm a novice landlord and just got a monetary judgement against my tenants. I want to pursue this, but the attorney & I now have a less than cordial relationship because of another matter. Should I go straight to a collection agency or seek out another attorney? Naturally I'd like to collect as much as I can on this debt.

Any reason you wouldn't go to a collection agency at this point?

You need to get an attorney to execute the judgment to be sure it is done properly, because a money judgment will be on the tenants' credit records forever. The defendant can also plead they don't have the money to pay you in full, whereby the judge will put them on a payment schedule, and that is another ball of wax. The clerk of the court where the judgment was entered can also advise you how to handle it.

Some of the websites I've looked at seem sort of shady.
Others only deal with business accounts.
