We are moving to RI for a new job in Bristol in the summer, and are thinking of renting before buying a house.
1. There seem to be very few apartments for rent in Barrington. Does anyone know the names of some decent apartments in Barrington, Bristol, or nearby?
2. Is a short-term lease (6m or 9 m) a realistic expectation or is it normally have to be a year-lease? We want to buy a house after settling down and learning more about the area.
3. What's the best time to buy a house? I would assume most people move there in the summer, and therefore summer would be a bad time to buy. We'd rather wait till winter or spring. Does it like a good strategy?

Thank you.
There are some apartment complexes on the Wampanoag Trail in Barrington; Country Meadows is probably the nicest one. You may have luck renting a cottage near the Barrington Beach area, many are used as summer homes and rented in the winter. There could also be some rentals in Bristol where there are some attractive multi-family homes; or in some areas of Warren. I would suggest you work with a Realtor in Barrington, some agents own rental properties.
