I don't know why residency matters, the point is where the behavior happened. This is a discussion of RI Beach Life this Summer. Scarborough is a RI beach, after all.
That said, of the two I prefer Narragansett Town Beach. Less trashy a crowd IMHO.
I wasn't the one who brought up residency, I just responded to it

That is correct -- most RI beaches attract a very low class inner city crowd, and very*few*tourists

Amen. "Hamptonites", aka coastal elites, can be found in various places all along the East Coast during the summer, from Palm Beach, FL all the way to Bar Harbor, Maine.
Some little kid took a dump on the beach. So what? Some of these coastal elites took a dump on the entire country.
Nope.... the mother changed his poopy diaper in front of us, wiped his little azz with it, and buried the diaper in the SAND. Such class.
If I saw that there would be no way I could contain myself ... I would have had to say something ... ignorant piece of sh**
Yes, my daughter went up to the mother and quietly suggested she take the mess over to the trash can; and the woman denied doing it. So there 'ya go. We reported it to the lifeguard on the way out.
We're spending next week up around Quonnie Beach. This will be my first summer visit up to the RI shore in about 20 years - been living in the Carolinas since then. I hope the water temps don't shock us too much

Water temps in RI are surprisingly similar to the Outer Banks, where you are further out into the ocean and the water is deep. If you are used to the bathtub like water elsewhere in the Carolinas, then yes it might be a shock.
On the other hand, let's go with the concept and hope that fewer people show up at our beaches including the "very low class inner city crowd"!!!
Sounds like a plan. BTW, does anyone know if there have ever been any reports of people picking up an infection through a cut or scrape in the water? There was a report of that happening to some lady at one of the Gulf beaches in Sarasota, it kind of shocked me. I can understand it happening at some inland lake, but I always thought salt water was sort of a disinfectant. OTOH, the Gulf water is rather soupy, IMO. Never cared for it.

Quonnie Beach????? is that in RI? never heard of it.

Could be a reference to the 'beach' at Quonset in No. Kingstown. Calling it a beach though is a bit of a stretch.
