That's the official word; no assault, no weapons, no drugs. If I had speculate, it was probably a fight. If you really need details, I'm sure you could file a Public Records request request; the report numbers are 21-882-AR and 21-883-AR. The article also just says "taken to the hospital" and not "for injuries," which could also mean for psychiatric evaluation.

Police deem Pawtucket nightclub a ‘public nuisance’ after overnight shooting
"PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) ─ The Pawtucket Police Department is demanding the city shut down Vibe Lounge after a patron was shot there early Friday morning. Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves declared the nightclub and hookah lounge “a public nuisance,” which she has the authority to do through the city’s charter. Police said this is the fifth violent incident at the club since February. Goncalves also noted the club has also violated several of the state’s COVID-19 restrictions."
And this is where the shooting actually happened. It's right by the former China Inn. Officers arrived there at 1 a.m., and found the 32-year-old man with gunshot wounds.
"A Pawtucket man was arrested on Monday by the Rhode Island State Police after an incident outside Governor Gina Raimondo’s home on the East Side of Providence.
Two members of the State Police arrested Brandon Hong of Pawtucket on three misdemeanor charges. The incident took place before 12 noon."
Also..
"Prior Incident Filmed Hong was also involved with an incident with a RIPTA driver in which he claimed he was assaulted. He posted the following description and video to YouTube. He filmed this incident. Today I was on the RIPTA bus 72 around 2:40pm and there was a accident on the route and a few minutes go by and the drivers trying to figure out what to do and some passengers started getting aggravated and stating they have to get there kids and go to work after that happened one passenger said a truck just went around you and went through why cant you so I said come on can you just go the bus driver now gets on the phone with his supervisor and said he wants this fat white kid off the bus I then turn to him and said what's your shirt number he covered it up with his jacket and then I pulled my camera out and start recording hi. He the assaulted me 3x and I have it on video."
At least golfers don't get attacked in robbery attempts playing on courses in Pawtucket as is the case in Boston.
