Would be nice if she hadn't aborted most of the interview...

12 News/RWU Poll: McKee, Gorbea in tight race for RI governor

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKfC-h12mGk

One interesting take away from my idiosyncratic perspective: Among Democratic Primary voters, COVID ranked dead last as an issue - a mere 5% named it their top concern.

It also heartens me that the two most Progressive wackos are polling abysmally.

But this could turn into some real blood sport between McKee and Gorbea, and there is a massive ancillary category of "undecided" thus far. (Over a third.)

Holy cow. 50% of Democratic Primary voters are undecided in the District 2 race to replace Langevin.

That is highly unusual.

Quote:
Half of Democratic primary voters are undecided in the race to replace Congressman Jim Langevin, and General Treasurer Seth Magaziner is the only candidate who has substantial support so far, an exclusive 12 News/Roger Williams University poll released Tuesday shows.

The survey of 250 likely Democratic primary voters in Rhode Island’s 2nd Congressional District finds Magaziner at 33%. But even more voters — 50% — remain undecided with four months to go before the Sept. 13 primary.

^I don't consider it too surprising, really. There has been relatively little news coverage, and no candidates to get excited over (Magaziner probably the only one with any real potential). So many people have been turned off from politics, and those who are left tend to be occupied by the national press stuff (where RI generally gets ignored).

I would hope that's it's not unusual. It's only May. People haven't had time to examine the candidates.

OMG. U.S. Census Bureau error may have helped Rhode Island keep its second congressional seat https://providencejournal.com/story/news/politics/2022/05/19/ri-population-overcounted-u-s-census-bureau-congressional-seat/9837659002/ via @projo

BREAKING: 14 state populations were significantly miscounted in 2020, the Census Bureau said — a revelation that comes after the numbers were already used to divvy up House seats for the next decade. https://n.pr/3PuyCIo

Thought it was unusual for the census projection, of a loss of a seat, to be so far off.

Yeah, huge surprise that the population of tiny Rhode Island actually continues to shrivel. The bigger problem is that it's working class taxpayers jamming the exits. And honestly, how many more can you spare?
