Well, we knew the new energy company (who sent out a ton of cute "we love you" letters when they took over) was going to ask for a 47% rate increase.

The PUC has not been our friend in the past. Let's see if they can hold the line to something reasonable.

McKee is trying to do something. See below. However, it's not just low income people who are going to suffer after rate increases. It's also us- the middle class.

Sorry, but politics is inexorably linked to this - as it's the national Democratic Party that got us into this mess to begin with.

Stop producing oil here - buy it from overseas oppressive regimes like the Iranians and the Saudis (which also happens to be less environmentally favorable).

Lift the Trump-imposed sanctions on Russia's Nordstream pipeline, thus granting Putin energy hegemony over Western Europe (you think we're in for a bad winter?).

All to usher in Agenda 2030 and Build Back Better.

"But it's all a conspiracy theory" - with the power of the internet at our fingertips, Lefties/Normiez still can't figure out how to find Klaus Schwab and his little band of merry men who run the World Economic Forum - and have agents embedded in Western government cabinets the World over. (Larry Fink/Black Rock ring a bell?)

You can start with his book: The Great Reset. He lays it all out, what's happening right now.

And yes, this has everything to effing do with why Rhode Island energy costs are going to be through the roof this Winter.

BAAAAA!

The sale was pure capitalism. We all know that National Grid would never sell anything if Trump were President. (That's a JOKE ha ha ha).

But I know you'll blame the Democrats for every thing and anything.

Did you even read the article you posted? (I already had before you posted.)

It cites the energy crisis in Europe and the happenings in Russia as the distinct causality determining energy prices here in Rhode Island.

Which I spoke to directly.

And you summarily ignored.

Now why did you post the article if you aren't even going to acknowledge its content?

The narrow mindedness of "The Left" knows no limits.

You're expecting logic?

I read it. It said the "global" gas market was in turmoil. Our gas lines are most affected by lack of pipelines from NY state.

In fact, RI is on target with wind energy with a 100% renewable goal in place. We have one of the first off shore wind farms in the country.

But then, that might be good news unless you're a conservative crackpot Republican.

Yup.

Especially odd since U.S. oil production has increased. Its about 2x what it was 10 years ago. And over the last couple of years its the highest its ever been.

Facts = the enemies of the right wing since the dawn of time,.

HA! Little COVID leaf blower Antifa boy wants to lecture us on facts.

How adorable.

The mouthpiece for big corporations and CDC fascist collusion is like oh such a Resistance Rebel!

Too bad, as usual, you're dead wrong.

What Is Holding Back U.S. Oil Production?

More oil supply could stop massive price spikes.

https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/02/energ...ion/index.html

Stunning and brave!

The fact is, we could have all the oil production in the World - wouldn't matter if it's not actually utilized domestically. Which it isn't. Which everyone and their sister knows.

Keep voting Democrat, losers.

And get boosted, you seem contagious.

You understand wind turbines are literally made of oil, and are not biodegradable, right?

Of course you do.

I SUPPORT THE CURRENT THING!

Oil Production in U.S.
https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/Le...s=mcrfpus2&f=m

Examples (Thousand barrels per day)

Jan 2022 11,369
Jan 2021 11,124
Jan 2020 12,852

Ten years ago

Jan 2012 6,175
Jan 2011 5,497
Jan 2010 5,404

Production Doubled. Data. Verifiable facts, the enemy of the right wing. Link has the full spread.

Now, for true conservatives, this would be a bad thing. Especially a pro national security conservative. But considering the right wingers here aren't "conservative", and they can't even read numbers, the rationale behind that logic would be wasted here.

And yes, proudly anti facist to this day.
