Hi all! I was wonder what's the best fresh fish market in RI?
A place with the largest variety, at LEAST a decent staff, and FRESH is a must (I've had food poisoning before and it is NOT something you want to go through twice!)!
Thanks!

I usually go to Boston Chinatown. I do not think RI got a decent big market. If you really want, you can go to the beach of Galilee in Narragansett. Very decent fresh stuff (on deck).

I like Dockside Seafood and Gardeners Warf Seafood, both on Warwick Ave in Warwick (where I live). Further from home, I hear that Blount Seafood in Warren is fantastic, as is Kylers Seafood, right off 195 in New Bedford. Good luck!

I've asked this question around as well, and I've been told over and over that Tony's Seafood in Seekonk MA is the best. They have a huge selection, always fresh, decently priced AND they're actually the distributors to most of the restaurants and markets in RI/MA AND they're wholesaler's to other distributors along the east coast. The major plus for me is that it's a family run operation with the Dad & Son's working the counters. I haven't been yet but like I said many people have name dropped that one.

American Mussel Harvesters, Inc. has mussels, clams, and oysters that don't get any fresher. Plug Patrol Rd., North Kingstown into your GPS. They're open 7:30am - 4:30 pm weekdays and you can pick up as late as 6pm if you prepay by credit card.

GPS, what's that? I thought that was for coastal navigating. I'll never get one of those things. Must be somewhere down in Quonset.?
