I will be staying at Providence Renaissance hotel for 2 nights (Jan 1st to Jan 3rd 2010). The hotel parking is very expensive $20 self parking and $25 for valet. Is there plenty of street parking available nearby hotel area?
Is it safe to park the car on the street overnight in Providence? Do I need to pay street meter on Jan 1st (New Year)?
Is there other garage close by to hotel cheaper than hotel parking with in & out?
You are not allowed to park on the street overnight in Providence.
You could park on the street during the day- if you can find a space- and then park for up to 8 hrs overnight for $10 in the Providence Place Mall Parking garage. That is one block away. More than 8 hrs is $20.
Too bad you're not coming the night of Dec 31st- that is Bright Night, the new year's Eve celebrations downtown. Or maybe just as well as then parking would be a problem!
