I live in Richmond, so I know a LOT of stuff to do. Here's a list. Hope it isn't too lengthy....

1. Carytown
2. Jefferson Hotel
3. The National
4. Renovated VMFA
5. Monument Ave.
6. Civil War Center
7. Belle Isle
8. Brown's Isle
9. Canal Walk
10. Short Pump Towne Center
11. Stony Point Fashion Park
12. Chesterfield Towne Center
13. Virginia Center Commons
14. Regency Square
15. Historic Richmond
16. Richmond Coliseum
17. Greater Richmond Convention Center
18. Landmark Theater
19. Carpenter Center
20. CenterStage

There's even more than that! Too many too many to name! Enjoy Richmond!

We just visited Richmond for the first time this weekend. Today, we went over to Maymount- great! Loved the Japanese garden and the kids loved the animals. Very nice and great if you are looking for a cheap day. We are staying at the Embassy Suites- which by the way serves a full breakfast cooked to order and has a manager's reception in the evening- free alcohol, chips/salsa, fruit/veggies and cheese. Our family of 5 easily sinks $50-60 per meal and you figure Embassy Suites is feeding us both breakfast and evening snack/dinner and we are really staying cheaply. Nightly rate is $129 and really didn't have to buy any food. Maymount was free + donation so our entire stay was only what we spent on the hotel $129 plus gas to get there.
Tomorrow...not sure what we are going to do...
