We've been here a year now and still feel SO GREEN.

We're currently camped in Short Pump. The neighborhoods I really like are Crown Grant or Colony (I never say it right) and Raintree.

But the homes around Virginia Center Commons are much closer to my husband's work.

Are the neighborhoods around Vir. Ctr. Commons comparable to, say, Raintree? In terms of safety, nice neighbors, friendly vibe.

Thanks for your help,

Alley

If you go up from the mall and make a left on Cedar Lane (By 7-11) there are several nice neighborhoods that you may like especially if schools are a factor.

Here is what I suggest to clients: take a drive to the locations you are interested in. Go in the morning, afternoon, and then in the evening and see what the place is like. Knock on the doors of some potential neighbors and ask them what they think about the neighborhood...people are usually all too willing to tell you the low-down.
As for schools, I can't say much b/c realtors are not allowed to. But, the Richmond Magainze just cam eout with their "report cards" for the area schools. i suggest you take a look or you can check out schools on Great Schools. org. If you can't find a copy of the magainze, DM me your email and I can email you a PDF of it.
As for crime, check with the local sherriffs office/police reports.
Hope this helps!

take a look at Kings Charter, AshCreek and Milestone - 5 minutes n of VCC. I raised 3 kids in Kings Charter and loved the location.
