I am interviewing for a job in Mechanicsville as part of a move to the Richmond area-- and, am not sure whether to live in Richmond (where my family is) and commute out or to settle in Mechanicsville. I know nothing about Mechanicsville! I have children so neighborhoods/schools are a concern, but I'm not really interested in a strictly suburban, sprawled out area. (In Richmond, I was considering the Upper Fan.) I'd rather have an urban feel or a small town feel, rather than the suburbs. I'll also be renting a house. So! Am at a loss as to where to start looking, and would appreciate any/all insights! Thanks so much--
