We are a couple in our 60's moving to Richmond very soon and need to know some good areas preferably in Henrico County. We don't have a lot of money to spend on a house, we like walking, older homes, small lots, front porches, trees--any suggestions?

You'd probably be better off in the city - look at the near west end or bellevue. Henrico will be generall newer houses, larger houses, less walking, and pricier. If you don't have kids, city neighborhoods seem like a no brainer for you.

I would definitely explore Sussex Square -- I live there and a wonderful small community of 87 homes

Bellevue is a good choice based on your criteria. Here's the website: Bellevue

I live in Bellevue, so feel free to PM me if you have questions. Good luck!

Bellevue would definitely be high on the list. Also Byrd park and carillon and some of the areas west of 195

I am looking to relocate, I am a Medical Technician and i hear the the pay is better in the Richmond area. I attend school and work full-time hours. My ex husband has my son 80% of the time and he resides in King and Queen (west point VA ) area. I am looking for a decently priced apartment, I pay 700.00 for a townhome right now in Newport News VA. I want it to be only like an hr or a little less away from my son and i am looking to drive like 15 minutes to work in Richmond... Any thoughts?????
