Anyone know exactly where the new RR plant is going? I know it is South of Richmond, in the Prince George area, but any other location info besides that? If the plant is in Prince Goarge, what towns are within a reasonable commute (about 30 mins.), but closer to the city? I like the 'burbs, but with access to everything a family could want/need.

I believe the announcement places it just southeast to Petersburg. That being the case you should find more than adequate "suburban" living in Chesterfield County. Prince George County to Richmond is maybe 35 minutes away so you have a wide area in which to search.

Hmm, that opens up a lot of possibilities, hunh?

Also... How far is it from Richmond to VA Beach, out of curiosity. We lived in Chesapeake for a while and I loved that area, so I know I'd want to visit. Ugh, would I have to go through the world's scariest tunnel/bridge to get there?

You could take 460 (which goes through Prince George) instead of 64 to get to Va. Beach.

I've heard that the new Rolls Royce plant will be built at the intersection of I-295 and 460 in Prince George.

Va Beach ocean front averages 90 minutes but like richmondpics say 460 to Rt 58 would be a better choice.
