I am planning on going tomorrow. Is there a big produce selection? I know its at Forest Hill Park, so can i take my dog with me to shop at the market? (of course she will be leashed with proper tags). Are the prices moderate or should is it the same as going to the supermarket? I've gone to the 17th street market, but wasnt impressed. Hoping this one is better. Thanks!

Haven't been yet but plan on making my first trip there tomorrow as well. Couldn't tell you about the prices but it is apparently very popular with some stands selling out early so I would get there around opening time (runs 8 am - 12 pm) to have the best selection. The market is pet-friendly. Visit the Hills and Heights neighborhood blog or the Market Umbrella for more info.

Forest Hill is GREAT. Very pet friendly, very. Almost a requirement lol. Prices are good, last week, organic eggs, 3.50, bag of brocolli $3.00, big bag of swiss chard 4.50, bunch of carrots 1.50...yeah you can get cheaper stuff at Food Lion but it won't be local, fresh and for the most part organic. Such a great variety of vendors - from prepared foods, veggies, plants, breads, pasta, jewelry, music - it is a alot of fun - the guy playing blues off to the side as you come in is awesome! I haven't been to 17th St. this year but compared to early last year this is 100x better.

Forest Hill is awesome, one of my favorite Farmer's Markets around. Lots of dogs, plus great selection.
