Looking at this area of VA.. Much smaller cities in Northern VA are pulling in major restaraunts and retailers! I realize that they are close to the DC area but there are other areas in this US that are pulling in major restaraunts(brand) and major retailers. What do potential do u see in the Roanoke area and the Lynchburg Area? *I ask that you do not turn this forum to an argument over local retailers as restaraunts! I made this forum to get away from that.. If u disagree then please do not comment and carry on.

I think eventually Roanoke & Lynchburg will pull in more chain restaurants as these franchises grow. I would like to see Lynchburg with a nice seafood restaurant, even locally run. Bonefish Grill needs to locate around Tanglewood Mall, especially since the new Hilton Hotel will be ready soon as well as a nice steak house, although 419west is very good. Since the success of Cook Out, Steak n' Shake on Hershberger I can see more chains locating in that busy area. I have seen a sold sign on the corner lot already. I believe Lynchburg will build another big mall soon and we will see new chains not in the area. I would just like a nice casual cafe similar to Kathys' in Staunton. This place serves all day with an extensive menu.
