We are meeting with extended family in Lynchburg for a birthday celebration for my mother's 90th birthday. There will be about 20 of us and we will be doing it at 11am on a Sunday. Does anyone from that area know of a good restaurant that would take reservations in that area? It doesn't have to be right in Lynchburg, but somewhere close by as we have family coming from north, south, and east. She likes Cracker Barrel, but they don't do reservations. So anything with that type of food would be preferable, but not mandatory. She isn't big on spicey foods though at age 90.

Thanks for any recommendations.

Honestly, I can't think of a chain-type restaurant that takes reservations.

There is a really nice (but more expensive than Cracker Barrel) restaurant in the Boonsboro area. It's still in the city but on the northern end. Here's the web site Isabella's Italian Trattoria They take reservations and have a wonderful Sunday brunch. It is definitely more upscale than Cracker Barrel. Good luck and tell her Happy Birthday! You're lucky to still have her.

Thanks for the suggestion... this looks like a good choice, but need to check with my Mom on the menu. I like that they have private rooms for the size group we are talking about.

With regard to Cracker Barrel, it was more to suggest the type of food she likes more than the atmosphere.
