October is always my favorite time to drive the Blue Ridge Pkwy. I have a special overlook where I stop sometime in the fall when the leaves are falling and there is a relaxing breeze which seems to relax my senses. In my younger days I remember having picnics with past family members and it seems somehow their memory lives on everytime I visit. Sometimes in the winter around the Peaks of Otter when there is snow and the parkway is closed the

This area, hands down has a natural landscape of epic beauty.. I am always taken aback driving and seeing the expanse in awe. When I say aloud "this is God's country".. I often wonder if in fact He really meant for it to truly be just that!
