We'll be moving to the Rochester area for one year. My wife will be at the university hospital for a fellowship. Looking to rent a house (two kids). Any ideas/recommendations?

Well for one year renting, assuming your kids are school aged, you'd probably want to be in Brighton which has excellent schools and which is very close to URMC (at least the western parts of town are). If your children will not be in school, you could be a little closer (and probably have more rental options) if you looked in the Highland Park, Ellwanger-Berry, or Swillburg neighborhoods in the city of Rochester.

If you're renting a house, Brighton is probably the best bet. Henrietta has nice some rentals too (which is where I lived when I worked at Strong).

I don't have kids, so unfortunately I don't have a good grasp of the school systems and where you should live for that.

Kids are school age. Daughter will be 14 going into 9th grade. Son is 11, going into 6th grade. Daughter is into soccer and has played competative for a number of years so we will be looking for a soccer club for her as well. Son plays football- probably easier to find.
