I will vacationing in Rochester over Memorial Day weekend. I need a hotel for around 150 a night, but I need a hotel that is more like a l bdrm apt than a single efficiency hotel room. Like I stayed in a Double Tree in Charlotte, NC once that had a front room, but then a back bedroom that locked. With my teenage daughter and her friend, this is what we need. Also a pool would be needed too. Also recommendations of cool things to do in this area would be awesome. Thanks in advance, and for the love of Jeff, don't say "Google it" or I will report you.
I actually saw a hotel that fits my needs and is well under budget: The Homewood Suites by Hilton
It seems to be a pretty nice place. Any thoughts on the neighborhood it's in or the hotel itself? 2095 Hylan Drive, Rochester, New York 14623
It seems like a winner unless someone tells me its like in the hood. Is "Henrietta" a suburb or a neighborhood?
I've stayed in Homewood suites in the past for work and have nothing but great things to say about them. Never in Rochester but they are pretty much the same everywhere. The places you are talking about is in Henrietta, one of the suburbs. It's not hood but a sprawling area.

The safety is fine there. I know exactly where it is and the only issue is that it is probably 100 yards from the expressway (I-390), so it might be a little noisy. I hate to say it, but Googling for reviews will probably give you an idea if it is noisy or not
Keep in mind that you'll need to drive to places. Since you'll be in Henrietta, you'll be surrounded by strip malls and chain restaurants, so anything worthwhile or unique you will have to drive to.

As I am driving there, this will not be a problem.
There's a Marriott Extended Stay in Henrietta on Jefferson Road - good location since it's right by the entrance to the expressway and you can go everywhere from there. Plus, although the Jefferson Road location doesn't have much ambience, there are tons of restaurants right there (albeit most are chains) - so it's very convenient. You'll have to check about rates though - esp for Mem Day WE - may be higher than your budget.
