Brown cruddy water with very minimal waves (except on a very windy day), filthy sand, and a terrible stench looks like the ocean? Where are they going to see the ocean, post-tsunami Japan?

Lol! I am from Webster and am a huge Rochester supporter, in most cases.
I do have to say though that we have now lived in the mid-Atlantic for 15 years and although Lake Ontario is a beautiful body of water to look at, it looks and feels NOTHING like the ocean....
When we bring our girls to Charlotte in the Summer while visiting, even they say "THIS is a beach?" sorry, this is one time I can't support Rochester.
They have failed miserably to make Charlotte or any of their waterfront areas, attractive to tourists...

I agree....however Charlotte is NOT the only area of Lake Ontario Shoreline in the region. There are some absolutely beautiful stretches of shoreline to the east and west of Charlotte that do often resemble oceanfront.

Kodak? Hope you're putting out resumes, unless you're on the building demolition crew.
