I thought this was interesting. So far I've found the following places to be available for interior "street view" on Google Maps. Anyone find other interior views on Google? I thought it was strange that they chose these places to add to street view, but still cool.
I can't comment on Rochester place, but I've noticed here in Philly a few places are like that. Very strange. To me, it seems a little much. From the owners I've spoken with, they had no idea that that was going on/that the inside of their store was being photographed.

I wonder if these places even know about these photos. The people in the photos sure didn't give their consent since they're blurred a bit. I think this is creepy and Google needs to back off! They're on private property and need to have boundaries.
I'm pretty disturbed by this as well. I think the outside streetview is a bit intrusive, especially since it went from major roads to side streets and rural roads. Nothing is private anymore, it seems. But interior views just go too far- especially if the owner doesn't sign some type of consent form.
Yeah, I agree with you guys. If the owners really didn't consent to Google photographing their businesses/buildings, then that is wrong. Well, that is frightening! It's not even safe to walk down a street or get in or out of your car anymore with Google up your arse. And license plates should ALWAYS be blurred. You never what freak is out there quaking at people and having perverted and/or disgusting thoughts.
Earlier this summer, the street view car drove down my street. I live in a development several streets of a main road. You have to know we're there and then find us. We were in our garage when they drove by with the garage door open and bother of our cars in the driveway. I just looked to see if it was up yet. And it is even though the road isn't highlighted like it usually is. And guess what....we're in the photo and no one asked our permission! We're NOT blurred out either. One of our license plates is hardly blurred. I can still make it out. Our other car isn't blurred at all! Talk about one hell of an invasion of privacy!

Who cares about side streets and rural roads being on street view? What does that matter? I love street view and use it all the time when viewing homes for sale and planning drives, and motorcycle rides when I had a bike.
Some of you are just overly paranoid over nothing. Who cares if your face is on street view? Who exactly do you think is going to look at your face and think to themselves "oh man I need to find that person!!" even though it'd be virtually impossible to do anything with just a grainy picture of a face. Give me a break. And the point about license plates? Really? Here's a quick hint: I can go anywhere and copy license plates down and use that information just the same as if it were shown on the internet. The ONLY time that information is ever useful to anyone is when a vehicle is photographed and contact or personal information is also given. Like if I were to photograph someones car for a photoshoot and provide their name and any other information along with the photos. But random cars shown in street view? Jesus, that's just far fetched to think anything could come of it. What's it like living in fear?
The only thing I agree with is that Google should not be recording images inside private property without consent, and while I don't know if a business would have any legal grounds to stand on, it does seem like some sort of invasion of privacy that really isn't right. Then again, if it's a business that anyone from the public can enter, then it's probably not that big a deal anyways.
