My daughter is thinking of buying a house in Henrietta. Can someone tell me more about the neighborhoods there and the best schools. Also what part of Henrietta is part of the Brighton school district. There is lots of new construction there. Any areas to stay clear of. Thanks.
You might want to avoid the area right near the mall. I like the neighborhoods around the Pinnacle & Lehigh Station intersection - easy access to the 90, convenient to endless shopping, yet right on the border of some really beautiful rural areas.
The elementary and middle schools in Henrietta all earn decent ratings, while Rush-Henrietta High School is average at best. I was unaware that any part of Henrietta is in the Brighton school district, although part of Pittsford does go to Rush-Henrietta schools...

A part of Brighton is also in the Rush-Henrietta SD. I think there is a small portion of Henrietta within the Brighton SD, but don't quote me in that.
I think the graduation rate at R-H is in the high 80's-low 90's range.

I have family in Henrietta...seems houses don't appreciate very much if at all, and they don't depreciated either. So if you're looking to make money on a home, I would look elsewhere.
I grew up in Henrietta and can tell you that there is no "bad" area despite what some naysayers might say. You can walk around any time of the day in any neighborhood in the area. This is because there are relatively few rentals, and a plethora of affordable homes to buy. As far as Henrietta being "sprawl" that is laughable given that it was built in the '50s and '60s. Yes it was built as a suburb, but the houses are within easy access of commercial due to its maturity and everything isn't so spread out. If you want classic "sprawl" with outlying suburbs 40 miles away move to Phoenix or Dallas.
