I think it"s nice for those who buy in bulk, but we don't. Also< I have an aversion to paying a membership fee to shop anywhere.
Another thing, though... that area where the old Iola Complex now sits gets a lot of traffic during peak times with MCC right down the road. I can't imagine anything else adding to the congestion.
Frankly Rochester doesn't need a CostCo. I no longer live there but I did and it doesn't need one. This is just dividing up smaller and smaller pieces of a shrinking pie. These are not the kinds of jobs that are good for Rochester because they are just transplanting existing jobs to CostCo.
I agree that Rochester doesn't really need a costco and I also don't get the hype over it. I don't think that it will just be "shifting jobs" though. I don't see Sams or BJ's going out of business because of CostCo. I think it will probably most likely be people who are out of work looking for a job who would take the new jobs.

If there should be any hype about getting the Costco, this is it.
Costco pays good wages and actually respects the employees. Quality of store brand, Kirkland, is very good.
