Why develop something that would bring people to the Rochester area?

you want a casino here? I personally do because I am in my 20s and I'm boorrrreeeedddd. But one of the attractive aspects of Rochester is how family friendly it is here. I'm not surprised the community was against a casino

Yeah, a casino has done wonders for Niagara Falls, NY.

I'm in my twenties too, BTW, and neither myself or any of my friends are bored here. The problem is you, not the area. Get out more.

The problem is with them just as much as it is with you. You claim it is their fault and they can claim you're neck-deep in denial. Tit for tat.

You're right the problem is me. I spent most of my life in LA and NYC so yes, as much as I get out, I am still bored . Anways, back the the original topic, a casino would take out more money from the community then bring in. And I don't think people we drive to Rochester to go to a casino. All the customers will just be locals

I'm not surprised. A big theme here seems to be big talk and planning of some sort of new development, and then either a halt in progress or scrapping of the idea altogether. But with past disasters such as the Fast Ferry, I can see the hesitation.
