I may move from CT to Rochester in NY, my favorite state. Due to paycuts, the cost of living in FFC is too expensive. I am a 23 yr old male and I plan on moving once I sell my current house and convince my girlfriend to move. I am looking for:

Low Crime Area
Downtown With Good Food
Rentals Between 2-2.5K A Month
Pet Friendly
Wegmans
Within 10-20 minutes to Rochester Airport

Also, is Rochester better than Buffalo?

No offense to your choice, but how come the preference for NYS? I can give you a few reasons to look at otherr states if you're interested. Just curious.

You may be able to find something in this area of Downtown too: https://rocwiki.org/East_End

These may work too: https://rocwiki.org/St._Paul_Quarter

Actually, its Downtown is coming along slowly, but surely. Royal Oak and Ferndale wouldn't be bad choices.

Left this morning for a 4 day tour of Upstate NY. Just leaving Albany, NY, about 30 minutes.

If you are stopping by Syracuse, there are a couple of festivals going on now.
