For all the negativity sometimes placed on the business climate in NY, this is an interesting survey. This survey found Rochester to be the friendliest city to start a business in NY and the 5th best in the country:

"Rochester is the friendliest city in New York for small-business owners and ranks as the 5th easiest city nationwide to start a business, a new survey from Thumbtack.com reports."

Funny but not funny!

Rory, how is greater Charleston? How is the heat down there? I've been noticing that it hasn't been that bad, some 90's but a lot of 80 degree days too down South.

They didn't run your Yankee a$$ out of town yet, as so many here will have you believe.

So, update. Good and bad.

I think you already know the answer to that question: fabulous. The heat doesn't bother me, so when it gets up to 95, I bask in it. We've been eating out on the porch 97% of the time. It's pop-up season, where you'll get pop-up thunderstorms in spotted locations daily. You're never really guaranteed rain, but some of these cumulonimbus clouds are absolutely beautiful and you can see them from a distance because of the open terrain. We go to the beach at least once a week; I went a total of 75 times last year.

I drove from North Chili to Hard Road in Webster every day for work, so it doesn't bother me, but one thing you could say is "bad" per se is traffic. There is so much growth here, some roads are busting at the seams! Mt. Pleasant is the 9th fastest growing "city" in the nation, many of the other municipalities are not far behind and so many developments planned and being executed. Traffic counts on roads change weekly. I've never seen anything like it. It's exciting!

And more reverse propaganda from somebody that doesn't even live in the same freakn' state. Why post on the Rochester boards if you hate the area so much? It really seems like a bizarre obsession if you ask me.
