Chase Tower has new owner with big redevelopment plans

This is great news for downtown. 14 floors of apartments and condos.

This is fantastic news. I was just thinking the other day about how I was surprised that tower wasn't being considered for housing. Did you see over on the Roc Subway facebook where somebody was saying that rumors were Larry Glazer was in talks to buy it before his death? I'm so happy that it looks like other developers are stepping into his shoes and continuing his plans for downtown. The developer is also talking about putting retail back in the bottom of it and restaurants.

Great news all around. All saw it mentioned that the Alliance Building on Main right in front of this could be announced for housing at some point as well, all this really bodes well for downtown in the near future. Will be interested to see how much demand there really is to live down there with quite a few buildings opening up in the next year or so, I know the market has been strong in the past but some still doubt downtown's comeback. Having some condos in this tower is great though, there is a serious lack of owner occupied space downtown, something I'd seriously consider if I didn't already own just outside the city.
